During your RV adventure, take advantage of the many outdoor activities Arkansas has to offer by visiting Eureka Springs. The wide range of Eureka Springs activities for any budget, skill level and interest are all in easy reach of your RV site, including central locations like Beaver Dam Dive Shop & RV Campground. Whether you’re into mountain biking, fishing, diving, or just soaking up the views, there’s something for every interest and adventure level. It’s one of the best outdoor places in Arkansas for a reason!

Mountain Biking Trails for Every Skill Level

Mountain biking in Eureka Springs offers epic Ozark scenery and well-maintained trails ranging from mostly smooth paths for families and beginners to more difficult trails for experienced and rugged riders as well. 


Beginner Trails include:

Exodus: A short trail with a few major turns to offer a challenge without overtaxing groups, families, and beginners.

Standing Rock Trail at Black Bass Lake: A mixed-use trail that shares the track with trail runners, cyclists, and hikers, this course is mostly straight and winds around the southern end of Black Bass Lake. 


Intermediate:

Prussian Blue at Marble Flats: A downhill trail including tight switchbacks, moderate jumps, and drops to give riders a challenge.

Oil Springs Trail at Black Bass Lake: This newer addition is relatively level and offers some challenging spots. It also offers amazing views of dramatic drops and rock formations to delight your senses. 


Advanced:

For RV’ers interested in more challenging trails, Eureka Springs offers a network of advanced courses called the Lake Leatherwood Gravity Trail Project. A total of seven one-way downhill courses offer experienced riders the option of short exhilarating runs or longer challenges of endurance by combining multiple trails. Four are classified as Black Diamond trails, indicating their advanced difficulty, but for the truly daring trail riders, they also offer a Double Black Diamond trail ranked just below the ‘pro’s only’ level. Shuttle service to the trail is available and recommended. A few of these include:


DH1 (Black Diamond): Stone slabs create jumps that exhilarate riders. 

DH4 (Blue/Intermediate): A challenging but beautifully constructed trail that includes an optional rock drop for fun.

DH7 (Double Black Diamond): 



Tip: Spring and fall offer the best weather for riding, especially on the advanced trails, and beautiful scenery. Remember to bring your helmet, water, and gear and double-check any trail maps or changes in conditions before embarking on your adventure

Fishing & Kayaking on Scenic Waters

When the weather sends you indoors there are great options such as historic sites but for a bucolic way to spend an afternoon, nothing beats casting a line or paddling through Eureka Springs' serene waters.


Fishing: Head to Beaver Lake or the White River. Expect to catch bass, trout, and crappie depending on the season.

Kayaking: Rentals and guided tours are available around Beaver Lake and Kings River. Ideal launch points include the Dam Site Marina and the Highway 62 bridge area.


Pack sunscreen, water shoes, and a waterproof bag for your gear. It doesn’t get much better than finding cheap things to do in Eureka Springs that can entertain the whole family in the great outdoors. 

Diving at Beaver Lake

Did you know you can scuba dive in the Midwest? Diving at Beaver Lake is a hidden gem that adventurous RVers can take advantage of.


Visibility often reaches 20–30 feet, making it The lake reaches depths over 200 feet in spots, with plenty of unique sights to explore.


You can take the Beaver Lake Dive Park Tour year-round, ideal for exploring underwater attractions like sunken boats, rock walls, and even an old school bus.


Bring your own gear or rent from local dive shops like Beaver Dam Dive Shop which also offers diver training courses and PADl Courses. At Beaver Dam Dive Shop, we recommend you always dive with a buddy, especially when exploring deeper areas.

Ziplining & Caving for Thrill Seekers

Craving a rush? Eureka Springs activities include some exciting ways to get your adrenaline fix.


Ziplining: Ozark Mountain Ziplines offers a scenic canopy tour with lines ranging from 200 to 2,000 feet long.


Caving: Dive into the subterranean world of Onyx Cave or War Eagle Cavern, two local favorites with dramatic formations and cool underground temps.


If you’re new to spelunking or want great localized information to accompany your trek, opt for guided tours. These provide insight into local lore, geology, and more, with the added benefit of safety.
