Open Water Certification

Course prerequisites: able to swim, medically fit for diving, comfortable in the water
During the Open Water Diver course, your instructor will ask you to:
- Float or tread water without aids for 10 minutes
- Swim 200 meters/yards with no aids or 300 meters/yards with mask, fins and snorkel
Includes: E-learning, classroom, pool and lake work. Also includes the use of rental gear (does not include Mask, fins, boots or snorkel), and materials.

Advanced Open Water Course
The Advanced Open Water Diver course is all about advancing your skills. You'll practice navigation and buoyancy, try deep diving and make three specialty dives of your choosing (it's like a specialty sampler platter). For every specialty dive you complete, you can earn credit toward PADI ® specialty certifications.
Here are a few of the many options: Deep, Digital Underwater Photography, Enriched Air Nitrox, Fish Identification, Night, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Search and Recovery, Altitude Diver, DPV, Underwater Navigation, and Wreck Diver.

Depth: The maximum depth depends on your age, but maximum depth is up to 30 meters/100 feet

Coordinated Dive Trips and Local Underwater Events
Beaver Lake’s dive season runs mid-May through late September, but that doesn’t stop our diving fun. Ever have the inkling to go on a tropical dive trip adventure with a group? Periodically, we coordinate group dive trips to places like Cozumel or Bonaire. By getting group discounts, we’re able to help divers go on adventures at more affordable rates. We help take care of setting up the dives so you can focus on the fun. We love to plan fun events to celebrate and bring our diving family closer together, like having a luau, a costume party, swap meets, or underwater scavenger hunts and more!
